Talent Development
Michigan Central is not only about fostering a network to build and scale new technologies that drive real-world impact, it’s about building up the talent that is already here or joining us in Detroit.
We are dedicated to fostering a highly-skilled talent pool, powered by community and academic partnerships, from PreK-12 youth to post-secondary students to adults seeking economic mobility. How do we do this? Michigan Central is a platform bringing together partners of all kinds who can help us build a future-ready workforce. Through training initiatives, many utilizing Michigan Central’s assets and connections into the broader ecosystem, together, we are creating pathways from young person to adult and equipping Detroiters with the skills and network they need to land these in-demand jobs and help address the chronic issue of the underrepresentation of women and people of color in tech.
More than 3,000 youth and adults have been served since 2023 to attract and retain key talent to fill Michigan’s vast pipeline of opportunities. Check back often to learn about our current talent partners, programs, and impact stories.
